Introduction
Welcome to the Radiation Protection Informative Page.
Information about RP training courses can be found at the end of the CMS Training and Access Requirements page.
- Courses for accessing the Supervised and Controlled Radiation Areas
- For Work Supervisors, we recommend the DIMR/WDP course on LMS (around 10 min. online)
Information about facilities for radiation testing at CERN, in the EU, and worldwide can be found on the Irradiation Facilities website.
Dosimetry
Please refer to the CERN Dosimetry Service Webpage to obtain information on:
- How to obtain/use/read/return/exchange a dosimeter
- Dosimetry results
- Contact and opening hours
- List of FAQ
Active dosimeters are available in the poll in the CMS Control Room (SCX5).
Operational RP
Please refer to the CERN Operational RP Webpages to obtain information on:
For destructive work, please prepare your activity in IMPACT and inform CMS Safety/TC via TC meetings as much as possible in advance.
All materials for future use as storage, transport, and shipping of waste have to be labeled and registered in the TREC system for proceeding further with RP measurement and control.
