Life at Point 5
Point 5 is home to the CMS experiment, where a wide range of activities take place every day.
From detector operations and maintenance to technical interventions and ongoing upgrades, the site is a busy environment shared by many teams.
Here’s everything you need to know for your everyday life at P5:
🚒 CFRS at P5
2 detached Fire Fighters during working hours and working days present at P5.
The 2 Fire Fighters provide support for Point 4, Point 5 and Point 6.
Their role includes:
- Fire and rescue response
- First aid and assistance in case of injury or illness
- Support in emergency situations
- Support with fire safety-related situations and activities
At Point 5, you will find them in room 3594/R-008.

📍 Useful Information

🚌 Shuttle
The CERN shuttle service provides regular connections between Building 300, Schuman, Prévessin and CMS Point 5.

🍴 Food Delivery
Meals can be ordered online and delivered directly to CMS Point 5 from R3 during the designated delivery time.
