Private/public visits

  1. Register all visitors in order to get access cards here. Afterwards you can bring them from building 33. Please do it 48 hours before the date of the visit. Caution : if you don’t have visitor’s card, you won’t be able to enter in CMS or any other CERN sites.
  2. I declare and try to find a CMS official guide and time slot with the CMS Visits Service
  3. I can show :
    • On the surface : SX5 (assembly hall), SDX5 (exhibition), the Peter Sharp room (video projection)
    • Underground : the CMS Visits Service assigns a key to me from the TRAKA cabinet.
  4. I stay on the visitor path, which is subject to change, check the current status.
  5. I try to do most of the talking on the surface to limit my time underground to the relevant explanations.
  6. I make sure to bring the key back on time for the next group.
